Centrepoint is the national charity established thirty-five years ago, working to help homeless young people build firm foundations, turn their lives around and fulfil their potential. We provide a range of accommodation based services, including emergency night-shelters and short stay hostels, specialist projects for care leavers, ex–offenders, young single parents, foyers and supported flats and floating support services. These services provide the foundations from which young people can start addressing some of the issues that lead to them becoming homeless, and developing the skills they need for a sustainable future. During the time they spend with us, young people have access to a full range of support services. These include personal and social development as well as help with training, education, job–hunting and employment. In addition we offer specialist support for young people with substance misuse, mental health and other complex problems.

Centrepoint works with local authorities and local partnerships to assist them to tackle and prevent youth homelessness. We also shape, influence and advance policy on youth homelessness and social exclusion.
